TW1 is bigger than TW2.
Some people claims that they finish TW1, doing all the quest in 30 hours.
I like to spend time exploring, try to figure out things and fool around.
I sure that I have spend more than 60 hours in my first playthrough.
I think that 60 hour for a RPG is OK.
There was a time where 60 hours was the standard. Ah, the God Old times ...

And then you may want to go for a second playthrough
or play mods like:

Merry Wictmas
Right to the Throne
Medical Problems 1
Medical Problems 2

and there are more mods, I just haven't the links at hand right now.

My advice, if you want to play TW2 don't start TW1, just go and play TW2.
When you get enough of TW2 (and this don't gonna happen any time soon) you can go and play the "prequel".
