I recently downloaded The Witcher and am having difficulty getting it to start. I am starting it with the -dontForceMinReqs command, because I know that my computer is under specs. I don't mind about the graphics quality; I plan on turning everything down.

Are you by any chance not running it in administrator mode?
Also, be sure that your not running any 'battery saving' mode.

I will try installing DX9 and see if that works. I am definitely running in administrator mode and not using battery saving mode (it's a desktop). I'll let you know if DX9 works!

EDIT: Installing DX9 still doesn't allow it to start.

i have a problem with The Witcher Enhanced. it give me crash, stop working and it tell me if i want to close the game or look for solutions online. if i'm looking for solution... can't fix it and if i close the game and start it back, i can play for 2-5 min and stop working again. when i purchased this game it was told that i can get my money back in 30 days. it past few hours only, coz i buy it, instal it and start playing. i want my money back coz it not working. and i don't think that the problem is on my PC. if anyone have some ideea what i have to do to make the game working, i will be glad coz what i want is to finish the game. so what i have to do to make the game work or get my money back? thx

Your best bet is to contact support. They should do their best to get the game working for you, and if they can't, they should refund you. Only other suggestion (though you probably already tried it) is to see if any of the fixes in this thread work for you.

I can't run The Witcher anymore. I 've been playing for weeks in W7 and recently even in W10 without any problem, It always worked ok, but suddenly, when I double-click on the icon it does nothing. It doesn't show any error message either. I'm kind of desperate because I was about to start the last chapter and I have no idea why this happens. I have to say this is the first time that i've tried to play it since last W10 update, but I don't know if this is related because I had updated W10 before and The Witcher always run ok.

Any thoughts on this?
