Hello

Somedays ago I started to (re)play the whole series, starting with this game. I installed it using heroic launcher and It works really great using the controller scheme from the community.

Today, I wanted to load my game and after a few seconds of launching, part of the screen became black. I assume a kind of graphic glitch. Afterwards, the game closed and it won't run anymore.

Any help with this?

Hi, there. I do not have a steamdeck, but I run the game on Linux using HeroicLauncher.

There was an update to the game recently, and after it was installed the game will not start anymore. I have not troubleshooted it yet, but my workaround so far was downgrading the version, it is easy to do with Heroic, and then you can prevent updates. Maybe you want to try this.

Hi!

I tried it and worked. It seems that the update broke the game. It is running perfect again on my Deck.

I was in the Chap. 4 and the idea of lose my progress was driving me crazy.

Is that about the setup_the_witcher_enhanced_edition_directors_cut_1.5_(cs)_gog_0.2_(77554).exe installer, built on 2024-11-08 (and made available a couple days after that)?

I had no problem starting a run on Linux with this one (Debian Sid, amd64). But maybe the problems come later? If you can share a saved game that did not work for you, I can give it a try on my setup and see if it runs or not.
