I was just looking at the witcher:enhanced edition today and it looks very interesting indeed. Now I wonder if it will run on my system with all settings at high or atleast medium-high?

my config is a phenom 2 x555 (overclocked to 3.6 ghz-dual core, no cores unlocked) and an ati 5570 (gddr5 overlocked) with 4gb of ram......

Get it, I never regret. I even have 2 copies gog version and physical version., haha.

About the computer, another person help you better than me, but with those specs I think you can play at maximum details.
While I would very much like to get it my main worry is at what settings shall I be able to run it?...I understand that the witcher 2 is nigh unplayable on this card so will the enhanced edition have trouble playing smoothly as well?....my monitor resolution isn't very high, say around 1366 x 768 so the resolution isn't too much trouble.

Lionel212008: I have just 3gb ram and my graphic card is 512 mb and play TW nice and without freezes. If sometimes gets slower or something like that I lower the antialiasing setttings. Sometimes I have gamecrashes, but nothing unplayable.

Wait for some other opinions, of course. But I never have problems running the game.
I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to fully enjoy The Witcher with that PC build. Just make sure you are running the updated version (see link below).
If you enjoy a good story (might start a bit slow) and a great adventure were every choice matters, be sure to check this game out :>!

As with most other RPGs you will get the most out of the game if you are reading / talking with everyone.

you should definitely be able to handle the game.
You are well above minimum specs.
You should not have any problems running this game on medium/high settings with a good resolution. The witcher 2 is a whole different beast, and can tax even top of the line systems. This is quite a unique RPG and does a great job of portraying a somewhat dark and morally ambiguous world.

In short, I dont think you will regret getting this game, I know I didnt :)
