I just re installed the game for preparation of the witcher 3 and i just noticed the safe mode option. What exactly is it?

I came to find the answer as well but then I just realized that MAYBE, the safe mode would be the censored mode ? I guess it's the only reason to have 2 different modes given the nudity in The Witcher series.

Same question, What is Safe mode is it just Fail Safe Graphics ?
