So, just started as a novice and used keypad for controll.

Now I have a problem with the right mouse button. For one thing it seems to be configured to combo chain, meaning left button for starting the attack, and the right one for the chain attack.
Now, before the mage boss, I got one of the sign attacks. And it can only be launched by a the right mouse button!

Now I ain't able to disable the sign attack and can't do the chain attacks.
How can I disable the sign attack?!

That's weird... the default controls should be left click for all attacks, including chain attacks... as long as you hit it at the right time. Right-click is always for signs. Did you alter any controls in the game options?

Nope, I needed left and right mouse clicks for chain combo, and I didn't mixed any controlls. Why, isn't it supposed to?

The default setup uses left click for both initial and chained attacks, and right click for casting signs. I don't know any way to separate the initial vs. chained attacks so that they would ever be on different buttons the way you said they were.

If you had no sign selected (or you were in the tutorial and didn't have signs yet), right clicking would do nothing. I suspect that the QTE on the chained attacks is distorting your perception of what is going on.

But that's just it. Using the left hit button only cuts me off from chain attacks. I needed both parts for this.

That's what I mean about the QTE being confusing. It baffles almost every first-time player for an hour or so.

Using the left button at the wrong time kills the chain attack. You have to hit the left button at the right time. You don't need to hit the right button at all.

On easy or normal difficulty, the right time is when the QTE prompt (the flaming sword cursor) appears. On Hard, where you don't get QTE prompts, hit the left button just after Geralt comes back to guard position (he does a little flourish, and you get a quick swish-swish sound).

Figure on quite a few tries before you get the QTE down to where you can time it consistently.
