Strange. It just occurred to me that all the Witcher games here have their own separate forums, while most other game series on GOG (even very popular ones) have all titles combined into one forum (with no sub-forums!). Bizarrely, The Witcher Adventure Game's online beta version was even given its own specific forum, as opposed to just calling that forum "The Witcher Adventure Game" and letting it serve for the eventual finished release version as well. Weird.

Guess GOG gives CD Projekt games preferential treatment.... ;)

I realize this. It just seems odd that almost none of the other very popular series (Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Far Cry, Prince of Persia, Dungeon Keeper, etc.) have separate forums for their individual games. The couple exceptions I noticed with some quick searches via the awful forum search function are the Lucasfilm Sam & Max, which has a separate forum from the newer games (presumably due to different developer and publisher), and the X-Wing and TIE Fighter games (where there's really no good reason for separate forums).

The only explanation I can come up with in the case of the Witcher series is that GOG wanted to be be able to track people's problems and concerns with the individual games more closely / efficiently, since they're part of the same "corporate" family as CDPR (I think GOG and RED might even share a building?). Thread title and "preferential treatment" comments were not serious :) (Thread title, in fact, was basically a troll. =D )

Been here quite a while, and if i remember correctly, at one point after TWEE release, this was our only option to talk about the game since there was a small problem with the forum at CDPR. Of course, that was ages ago, but these thread lines were created that long ago and the internet likes to keep everything around. So your assumption is correct. they were using the GOG threads to track problems and concerns for a while.
