So I just downloaded this last night. It sometimes crashes so I'll try some of the fixes I read in other posts. But I didn't see anything concerning trees and bushes that end up looking like they extend all the way to the sky, causing the sky to be either blacked or completely or full of patches that are just black and green stripes. I got this and the witcher 3 at the same time. I'm able to run 3 with the only problem being fps is low. My pc is a little shy of the requirements for 3 but exceeds minimums for 1. Any advice? I'll get and hardware details or screen shots when I'm next at my computer

According to the wiki, it is a known bug that might be related to overheating, or have unknown causes:

Sometimes a tree or other object in the distance will look like it stretches up all the way to the sky. This is generally a result of an invalid value for a vertex in a polygon, causing the polygon to stretch to the border of the screen. It is also often a symptom of the GPU overheating, but in this game seems to happen from time to time even on a healthy video card.
About the crashes - I've recently replayed the game and I've noticed that there is one specific spot in the outskirts of Vizima (on the path that goes from the inn to Odo's house iirc) walking through which will infallibly cause a crash, at least on my PC. If that's the problem you're experiencing, just stay clear of that one specific spot (it's easy to avoid thankfully)
