I have purchased Witcher 1 Enhanced Edition for OSX here of GOG, it's version 2.2.0.7.

As I understand it, the enhanced edition is supposed to contains some additional New Adventures. However, in my install, this section is empty, only showing Witcher's logo and greyed out load button.

Since most of the mentions of New Adventures relate to Windows version I am not sure these are included in the OSX version or not. If so, does anyone has any idea why I cannot see any? If not, any advice where to get them? From what I saw so far, these usually come as Windows EXE files, I am so far unable to locate corresponding ADV files.

Thanks

I am posting my own finding just for the case someone else runs into the same.

GOG support confirmed that while both premium modules and some additional self-published adventures are included in the Windows installation, there are not part of the OSX package. At least not at the time of writing.

But there is a way to get them :) This is what I have tried and it seems to work (the caveat is I did not play the adventure thru yet).

1) Install Wine, the easiest for me was via Homebrew: "brew install wine".

2) Get Windows install packages for GOG.

3) Run the installation using Wine: "wine <witcher-binary.exe>". Note that you will need all parts (currently 4) downloaded and placed in the same directory. This takes a while and several Runtime Error dialogs were shown. it doesn't seem to matter - we are not trying to run the game via Wine, just to get it unpacked.

4) You should now have several adventure modules (*.adv) in "~/.wine/drive_c/users/Public/Documents/The Witcher" directory. Files "m1_module.adv" and "m2_module.adv" are premium, fully-voices, adventures from CD Project. The rest is a selection of self-published adventures. Copy what you want to the OSX installation. It's the same directory that holds saved games: "~/Library/Application Support/com.cdprojektred.TheWitcher/GameDocuments/The Witcher/". The new adventures should now pop up in the game (New Game -> New Adventures).

5) You can wipe out the Wine directory clean, if you wish: "rm -rf ~/.wine".
Thanks to your post I will be playing those adventures, though I am on windows.
Let me explain. I finished the game last year. Out of curiosity started one of the adventures and found that it lacked voice acting, and thus was discouraged to carry on. Now I don't say voice acting is a must for a good game, but it helps.
As there were no indicators to suggest that some adventures developed by CDPR (premium modules) I didn't know about them. Thanks to your post I came to know about them and have started playing one. And though I have just began I found that everything connects to the lore, not only of the first game but also of the second one (can't tell about the third one as I haven't played it).

Thank you. :)
