I just started Chapter III. love the medieval fantasy type of dark/macabre aesthetic from the Daedric princes of the Elder Scrolls, but always found it was just too far and few in between. Not enough of it. When can I expect to find this type of stuff in abundance in The Witcher?
The Witcher is not the Elder Scrolls. What is it that you're expecting exactly?
Ugh... FFS. I guess I wasn't clear enough. Just dark, macabre things that are suitable for Halloween?

The Swamp was pretty good in Chapter II. Witcher overall is more dark than Elder Scrolls. So that's a plus. It seems to be riddled with darkness all across the board, to varying degrees. But I especially like it when it goes all-out.

Coldharbour in Elder Scrolls. The Soul Cairn from Skyrim? Places like that. Again, the swamp was sort of like nature-darkness. I'm more interested in when I can find the more spooky variety, also. Take a look at those places i've reffered to, then you'll understand.
If you liked the Swamp, I think you'll like Chapter V. It's the darkest by far, both graphically and story-wise.

You will also enjoy the dungeons in Chapter IV, which could have been 100x more spooky if they hadn't passed the chance to go full Cthulu (budget restraints?).
