You can bypass the minimum system requirements check. Look in the "Fixes To Common Problems" sticky thread for how to do it.

EDIT: The relevant section is this one:

Create a shortcut to witcher.exe. Go to the shortcut's Properties window, then alter the "target" field as follows. Change "c:\blah\blah\witcher.exe" to "c:\blah\blah\witcher.exe" -dontforceminreqs. Make sure the last part is OUTSIDE the quotes, and there is a space between the quotes and the part you added. The run the game via this shorcut.

So I need to type the quotes too?
Thanks for your help!

The quotes should already be there. You just add the -dontforceminreqs to the end, outside the quotes.

No problem!
You can also try this solution.

And this is working? You tried it? I'm not so pro in these settings improvements, it is possible to harm my computer?

Another thing: The graphical look is ugly - when I set it to max quality, it is ugly too. Is this because I don't force the minimum requirements? I guess my laptop can handle this game with higher quality, or max quality...

I haven't got Windows 7 and I just posted another user's solution. Maybe you want to ask him your questions.
I have Windows 7 64bits and never have any problem with the game except the need of force vsync for preventing graphic card overheating.
Since you have an laptop, may be that the problem is in the power configuration. Is it in save mode, then it is underclocking the system, and therefore is posible that is for this reson that the game says that the system not meet the mimimun reqs, try changing the power configuration to balanced (full perfomance isn't recomended for a laptop).

This is not working for me because it is case sensitive, so try to use -dontForceMinReqs
