I have ran into a problem with him for the quest. I was informed to ask him of the blade but no matter what I do, the option to ask about the blade never pops up. I have tried to skip past him, or even go back to the jailer, but nothing happens. I am at my ends for trying to be done with this quest and skip it al, so any help would be great.

Sometimes, new conversation options are hidden underneath old ones, so when you talk to someone it looks like all the choices are greyed out because you've tried them already, but if you try them again, they will lead to a new option you haven't tried before. So make sure you try going through every single conversation option when you talk to him, even if they're ones you tried before.

I can't remember if that was thte case for this specific example but I do remember it happened to me when I had to ask Thaler about something, so there's a decent chance it's the same issue.

I never got the Rune from Zoltan when I completed this quest.
