Wow. This is such a flashback to the early 1980 when I, as an Apple user, begged publishers and Apple for working software and fixes. Then I realized if they wanted me as a user they should already provide this. In '85 I moved to Windows and never looked back.

Some things never change I guess.

For around fifteen years Macs used Intel processors but not anymore. There is quite a lot of work for either Apple or CD Projekt to get this working on the new Macs. Sadly, I have seen no signs of CDPR bothering with things like this ever and I suspect CDPB, aka GOG, is not up to the task. Apple are working on that Rosetta programme that may make some games work one day but I suspect PC games are extremely low priority with Apple.

There is still a little hope if someone thinks there is enough money to be made in this but as a rule, if you want to game, you should buy AMD or Intel.

Why not just run windows as a virtual machine (the appliance is free to download from ms) on the mac?
You can then run any windows based program you want.

Good idea. Alternatively, just buy a Windows machine! If it makes you feel better you can pay more than it's worth and pretend you're buying Apple.

It would be good for this to work on my Mac.

Steam games do seem to mostly work without being converted to Apple Silicon versions, so hopefully there is some intermediate step that can be taken to get existing games to work without wholesale changes.
