Yeah, I know there is a wineappdb entry. Just wondering if anyone from the Linux crowd here will be trying it out today.

I just spent this last weekend trying to get Oblivion to run (and failed), so I'm somewhat tired of tweaking at the moment.

Currently downloading the last part of the package here, apparently the first download was unsuccessful as the launcher said it was corrupted. Anyway, I'm having Linux-only system here, so it's that or nothing :-)
I will be at work in a hour... this evening I will try to install it on ubuntu 10.10 with Play on Linux package and I will post the result here...
Got it installed and started to test some, first of all the launching from installer did not work, but I had to start it manually. After that I was able to go through menus, change resolution etc.

The biggest issue with transparent models is there, and I assume that the same applies for some of those stat bars. On AppDB and a bug entry http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12771 someone has had luck with setting those registry values, but here it doesn't seem to do the trick.

Tested with Wine 1.3.18, Nvidia's GTX460 with 260.19.12 drivers.

EDIT: Upgraded to 1.3.19, didn't change anything.

EDIT2: Apparently I forgot to restart wineserver or something after the regedit changes, it seems to work now!

EDIT4: After some time playing the sword fights feel a bit strange, but the game seems to be working just fine besides those two bars. One problem I noticed is that the game won't start after quiting it and trying to re-run; one has to kill wineserver with wineserver -k and then try launching it again.
