So I have a Lenovo Thinkpad x230 (is a Core i5 Ivybridge with intel HD4000 graphics and 4gbs of ram ddr3). I had to use the "-dontforceminreqs" in order to be able to access the game, other than that the game runs fine on an external monitor at 1440x900 with fps slightly dropping in the prologue (chapter 1 ran perfectly fine and I'm now at chapter 2). My question is about the graphics textures. Characters look amazing, yet the world looks really bland because of the lower texture resolution. I know there is a file to override the ".2da" file but that's for the maximum quality textures and I'm pretty sure I can't play with that. Is there a medium size o slightly better textures file to override the lowest of the lowest that I currently have because of the "-dontforceminreqs" mode?

Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry to say I don't know of any.

However, according to comments at http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher/mods/649/ the maximum quality textures work at 26-30 FPS with an Intel HD 3000 (no resolution specified though). Try it, your card is even better.

(And if I recall my first playthrough correctly, the game looked significantly better at 960*600 with high settings than 1440*900 with low-ish ones. YMMV. )
Thank you! I'll give it a try then and post the results ;)

Yes! The games still runs like silk with everything on high :D Well, except for lightning, but that's because of the "pixelated" conversations bug... I'll see about looking for a fix.
