I was wondering what string instrument is used in the track "An ominous place"?

I tried searching the forum, found lots of results on the title, but only one about the main theme actually was about music (??), so, sorry if I double post.

It sounds like a hammered dulcimer to me. This instrument has many different names and variations around the world.

It can be called cimbalom, or cimbala.
