I have a very basic dell machine but it's running New Vegas, Skyrim Mass Effect 1 & 2 fine at medium settings. I'd like to re-play Witcher again but the installer won't progress saying the hardware is insufficient to cope, sorry can't remember the exact wording but it would not install, not that it would not launch. From memory the game wasn't that pretty and fairly limited in the zones you ran around in so wondered if I could get it to ignore my hardware and just have a go?

Specs are:
Intel(R) Pentium(R) Processor G3240 (3M Cache, 3.1GHz)
4GB Single Channel DDR3 1600MHz
'Intel HD Graphics'

I know I know, it's not going to run GTA V or anything but like I say it does well considering its limitations.

Maybe a stupid question, but are your installer files alright? (My PC isn't great either, but runs TW just fine). At any rate, it should still install, shouldn't it?

That's what I thought! I'll try downloading it again and take a screen shot but I clearly remember thinking 'cheeky sod' when it came up with the message.
Well now I feel silly. It installed fine.

O course it ran like a dog and crashed to desktop just as the first fight started in the castle but still, at least it tried.

Oh, that's a shame, really. If you wish to pursue this, you could check the official forum to see if there's something you could do to make it work...
I'm sorry I can't be of more help, but as I said, despite having a crappy PC the game runs fine for me.

I don't recall if it crashed on me (it might well have a couple times), but I know it ran like absolute ass for me in at least one part of the prologue (boss fight against that sorcerer guy), and certain parts of Chapter One (any fight against several ghost hounds at once). It will probably be fine for you for the most part, though, as it was otherwise mostly fine for me...at least to the point in the game that I made it to (late Chapter Two, I believe).
Thanks for that.
