With the batch of games that I've picked up during my abcense from my beloved PC, I decided to go back playing it.
Gonna finish both Witcher games during my vacations and I made an oath to myself to find,buy and read all the portuguese translated books available because I love the series that much.
And I just installed TW2 and I'm running medium(my laptop isn't top of the line) and the game runs buttery smooth and looks really beautiful.

I recently got a laptop and following my plan of readnig through the books and then playing the games.
I stopped playing TW2 on Xbox to read the books, and then I´m going to start TW1.

Welcome to the club! About the books, commercially and officially, not all of them have been translated, as of yet. Still, some people have made fan english translations of ALL of them, and distribute them online without any fee. If you want to read them all, you can...

The English fan translations are actually pretty good. Last month I read the Sword Of Destiny, which has never been officially translated into English. I wish it had been published in English though, instead of The Last Wish (the first Witcher book I read), as it is much more engaging and has a few prequel short stories to the main series of novels (starting with Blood Of Elves) which helps to explain who the hell Ciri is!

I'd previously got proper paperbacks of The Last Wish and Blood of Elves and decided to buy the next few stories as real books too, even though I have the fan translations as PDFs on my iPad. I got Time Of Contempt last month, and am waiting on the next one, Baptism Of Fire, which is due out in the UK in January... just before The Witcher 3 is released :)

I'm not really a big fan of fantasy fiction, but the Witcherverse is brilliant stuff.

Got to agree on this one. Me, before the witcher happened, i always used to hate fantasy literature, and with passion too... Now i simply can't get enough. Sigh, i wish the english translated books had been gog downloadable extras for purchasing the games, sigh... Nevermind, the free release of these people fixed my desire well.
