Hi all, I got The Witcher during the 50% off sale and just finished downloading the game. The downloader says that the game has finished merging (100%) but whenever I try to run the setup application, the window says that all five .bin files are corrupted. I really don't want to redownload and merge the game again (merging alone took two and a half hours) so is there a workaround? For context, I am using a Mac with Windows 7 installed through Bootcamp. Thanks in advance.

(It's my first time buying off of GOG, so please excuse my cluelesness)

I'm having a somewhat similar issue, it downloads and starts merging but right as its nearing completion the downloader closes and the game isn't installed.

I also am having kind of a similar problem, except the merging is now at 210% complete and shows no signs of stopping :(

Edit: I spoke too soon. It finished merging directly after I posted this, but some files are indeed corrupted.

I guess I should post my issue here... I'm on my third try to download The Witcher as I'm writing this. The download itself goes just fine, then the merging stops somewhere around the middle, then proceeds to verify the "corrupted file" and tells me the file is corrupt. Anyone else with this issue?

I had the same problem. After a few tries, I gave up, turned off the GOG downloader option temporarily and just downloaded the 6 files individually. Then merged them manually and everything worked fine. If you try this, make sure you delete the old files, because (at least in my case) every time I got the error and then quit the downloader (by turning the PC off, for example) and started it again, the game would download from the beginning. Ended up with a huge folder with repeated files.

How did you merge them manually?

Ok, I would need to redownload everything again to be 100% certain, but I am fairly sure this is how I've done it.

Right-click on the first .bin file and choose "Extract here", or "Extract to", or similar (the exact wording will depend on what File Archiver software you use - I use 7zip, but WinRar, or any other will do). It's just like merging .rar files, if you have ever done it. The merging will begin. When it's done, you can delete all the .bin files (except the new one, of course). To install the game, just double click the .exe and the installation process will begin.

Yes, it's quite a daunting size, but it's worth it if it works.
