I am at witts end. The game was working a few days ago. Upon clicking on the shortcut (set to run as administrator) the launcher comes up. I then click on "launch game" after i do this the little round icon spins a bit while the game trys to launch and then the message comes up that "The Witcher has stoped working windows is checking for a solution to the problem............" I have cleaned up the registry as well as re installed the latest ATI drivers for my 5850 video card (there was also a problem with the Catalyst Contro lCenter not starting but cleaning up with a driver sweeper and reinstalling the drivers and catalyst control center fixed that). I am on Windows 7 64 bit i-7 920 processor and 6 gigs of Corsair RAM. Plenty of HD space. I don't know what else to do...maybe it's time for some yearly spring cleaning and re install windows entirely! Any help is certainly appreciated. Thanks!

If it was recently working, you could try System Restore, but I'd try backing up your saves, then uninstalling and reinstalling the game.
