I already have a copy of The Enhanced Edition, but the GoG version is called The Director's Cut. Is there any significant difference? Or should I not bother picking it up again?

If you bought it in Australia, I'm guessing it is censored. I believe you can download a patch to remove the censor though. The Director's cut should be the same as the Enhanced Edition but without any censorship.

Things that are censored include boobies/bottoms on cards, jiggling of certain body parts on character models, I think more blood as well and maybe some quests (not sure).

I am not 100% on this info as I've only played the uncensored version myself so I can't really compare personally. I'm Aussie as well and I imported my copy to get around censorship.
hi.
yes directors cut is the latest (enhanced) version, without any censorship at all (how it was supposed to be played ion the first place).
in some countries like the USA, the game got censored (i don't know of other cases). that is why i got the uk enhanced version, in english and uncensored!
i was not so easy to get my hands on the copy, but it was worthwhile.
I'm also wondering, why is the 'Director's Cut' smaller in size than the 'Enhanced Edition' I got from Steam? The system requirements in GOG say that I need at least 8.5GB of free disc space, while on Steam I need 15GB.

Did they remove quests or something? I'm dual booting W7 on a Macbook and I haven't been able to install the game because I don't have enough space (13GB) and I don't want to re-install my partition all over again. I don't mind buying it again from GOG if it's smaller in size, that way I would be able to install it. But I want to know why is it smaller.
I purchased the enhanced version in Australia. I am looking forward to getting it fully patched as I could not work out what patches were needed if any for my version. The Atari site is not very helpful, I doubt I will purchase anything from them again.

I never ended up finishing it either, so this will also be an excuse to finish the first version. I found it a little hard, hopefully I may do better the second time round.

I noticed at EB Games they are selling it for $8.00 now.

I'm guessing it's because steam caches the installation files in your steam folders, on top of the game itself, and here they aren't counting the installer in the size... or something...

Just checked out the Atari website's page for the Witcher EE, they say 8.5GB HD space there as well... so yeah, prolly the cached installation files in the steam folders make up the 6.5GB extra

I'm with you, loved the game but tragically never finished it. I'm looking forward to downloading it and picking up where I left off, though I expect it'll take a lot of journal-checking to get back on track and remember important past choices.
I bought it today from JB Hi Fi here in australia and it was $8 as well, not sure if its uncensored or not but the front says its MA 15+ Strong Violence, Sex Scenes and Drug References, so Im guessing its the uncensored version? Theres 2 disks in it, one game disk and one bonus disk
The Australian version of the original Witcher was never censored (yes, Australia's classification board is inconsistent).
