Besides the first launch of the game (which I played for 2 hours) the game will crash when launched through galaxy. It won't even go to the game screen or anything but I get a ignore/report message every time. This is exclusively a gog galaxy problem as the game launches fine when I do it through the client in my applications folder.
I have just come across a similar problem however mine has stopped the game from loading in either cases, when it was working fine for the last few days. I had re-downloaded the game via Galaxy, then GOG Downloader when that failed and it doesn't work in either case. It always says "unexpectedly quit", looking at the package contents there is no sign of Wineskin whatsoever, doing the standard engine update just results with ENGNVRSN being displayed as the engine and any update failing.

The system report is saying the crashed thread is: 13 E.d3d9.OpenGL

What's also strange is that I closed got galaxy for about an hour and then tried to launch the game again and it launched properly. I closed out and launched again which it again went fine. But at the third launch it crashed on start up as well as the next time I did it. I closed galaxy and reopened it and the game again crashed on start up. It's a very strange problem...
I have been playing with my graphic card settings using gfxCardStatus and it seems if I load with the Nvidia card already engaged it will load (that card for me is buggered though and causes kernal panics), but when I have it set to the Intel or dynamic switching it always fails. The intel card meets the minimum specs so it is annoying that it wont work with this version but was fine yesterday on an older version.

Are you using a discrete GPU? If so the cause might be that it the Nvidia card isn't being called in fast enough. Does anyone know if it is possible to get hold of older versions?
