i am 15 years old, and i think that this game looks interesting, however, i have heard some things about it that make me think the content may be a bit "extreme". Here are the two things i have heard about that my parents would have issues with.

1. The "sex cards" (would probably be fine if you can use the censored versions instead.)
2. One of the charecters is apperently completely naked. But not quite human. (different skin color)

So, my two questions are this, Can you enable the censored sex cards, and can you use a different skin or something for that one character?

Surely the extreme violence is an issue with your parents?

No? Huh. What a strange mismanagement of objectionable issues.

Anyway, I don't believe there are ways to censor the cards or skinning the character. Unless your parents watch you play the entire game, I doubt they'll ever see you collecting the cards and talking to those characters.

Vagabond: Surely the extreme violence is an issue with your parents?
yeah, i dont quite get it either, but they only care about overtly sexual stuff, and completely pointless killing/violence (gta)
Tell them that if you dont get TW:2 you're going to do NOTHING but sing Rick Astley tunes. Forever.

That oughta show them!
Answer to first question : If you have the version without censoring, you can't enable it & vice versa for censored. Answer to second question : There might be some mods that can do this, but I'm not aware of any. I think you're talking about the character in the forest, she does have a small role in a side quest & also as a collectible sex card but other than that I didn't interact much with that character.

You may have no choice, but to come across one sex card if you decide to complete a side quest in Vizima, Chapter 3. I won't go in detail as I'm don't want to spoil anything.

I don't consider the Witcher to have "extreme" violence. There isn't enough detail, heck there isn't even visible wounding (aside from finishers) unless you download a mod.

Also, though it is a bit weird, witnessing violence for entertainment(at least where I come from) is socially acceptable, whereas nudity is more touchy. I can watch a video of explosions and gunshots at work and co-workers might come to my desk to watch it with me, but if I were to watch a porno, or even just browse for nudies, I'd probably lose my job.

As far as censoring the censored versions, you can do it, to an extent. Read here:

Keep in mind that it isn't just violence (which I consider tame compared to other games) and nudity that makes this game adult, but also the language. There's a ton of profanity in this game (I'd say the dialogue is more violent than the combat), and as far as I know, this can't be censored.

thanks dude! this link also gives more information about the censored stuff in general, it will definitely help. :)
I would say it's somewhere between PG-13 and R, closer to R.

A lot of people complain about the sexuality and violence in video games, yet what they see on TV dramas is pretty close to it; sans invective language.

To be honest, compared with other games The Witcher is pretty tame

I mean yes you do see some naked breasts in the game but it's not significant and many other games have much more nudity

Yes, of course there is violence but once again - its nothing shocking or that extremely brutal and its definitely nothing compared to other games like Splatterhouse

In my opinion: for a 15 year old this game would be fine
Actually, if this is the uncensored version which i think it is, it has full frontal female nudity, the dryad should be completely nude with vaginal hair and walk around completely naked. From everything ive heard, compare this to The Watchmen movie, if youd let your kid see that, guess this game is okay >.>
