The original WoT releases came localized in english, german, french, italian and spanish language. The GOG release doesn't inlcude these files. Here is the download of the not included localization files.

Weren't voices also dubbed in french and german ?
I find it a bit odd that movies are dubbed but not in-game speaches.

Well I eventually solved this by placing everything from 'sounds/frt' into 'sounds', now the voices are in french.
I had put "Paths=..\Sounds\frt\*.uax" in 'wot.ini' though, for some reason that wasn't effective.
