Hello everyone. Last night I completed Episode 5 (the credits rolled and went all the way back to the main menu) and when I go to the saved games option, it says "Episode 5 Completed."

However, when I click "Play," instead of starting with Episode 6, it still shows Episode 5 and the option is "Restart Episode." What happened? I do not want to spend another two hours playing through it again.

Is there a way to fix this? I saw that I could restart chapter 10 of episode 5, which I guess is close to the end, but it asked about "rewinding" my game and choosing a save file to use, so I didn't want to mess anything up by doing this, or make the game think I was cheating or whatever.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? I've always just been able to start the next episode right away, and like I said, the save file already shows episode 5 is "completed," so I don't understand why it's telling me to restart it.

Thanks!
John

Erm, I just did a search to see how many episodes were in Season 2, and if maybe episode 6 wasn't released yet. But...am I seriously seeing this correctly? Episode 5 was the end of the game??? Seriously???
Uhm... yeah. EP5 is the End.
Why wouldn't it be?

Weell... there's the Special Episode, 400 Days, as well. But that's Bonus - TWD originally had only 5 Episodes.

If you're unhappy with the Ending you've gotten, rewind back to check out the other Endings, or just watch them on Youtube if you don't wanna. Also, there's no cheating in Telltale Games.

It isn't that I'm unhappy with my personal ending, it's just that the ending didn't seem to really resolve things the way the end of TWD1 did. When Episode 5 ended, it seemed exactly like an ending for any other episode that would be continued. It wasn't very satisfying.

Guess you shot Kenny, then. Too bad, hint hint. ;)
... no I mean, seriously, at least look up that ending.

The other Ending really does feel like you achieved nothing, because that's what it is.
A bad decision... for a bad ending. That's basically what it is.

Ok, I watched the other endings, and I will admit that the Kenny ending (and to some extent the Wellington ending) does feel like there's a little more closure. I think my problem with the ending I saw (Jane with the new people) was that because new people were introduced, it felt like the setup for episode 6 and new events to happen, but it turned out to be the end. Ending with Kenny didn't do that, so it seemed to be a little more self-contained. That, and I watched it knowing it was the end this time, of course! :)

But still, I think the ending of Season 1 felt much more like a resolution of the story than most endings of Season 2. Maybe I just got a better ending in Season 1, or maybe the endings weren't as varied.

Well, uhm, Spoilers of TWD S1 & S2 incoming, I guess.

There wasnt another ending in S1. No matter what, you ended up there, and all the difference in endings you could have had is, either Clem leaves as Lee just dies, or Clem shoots him as he asks her to. That's all the variety you'll get there.

I liked that for a change, there was actual choice for the ending of S2. And boy, was it hard. For I, myself, don't like babies, and having one with you in the zombie apocalypse surely is nothing short of suicidal. But still, I knew Kenny and after everything he has been put through, I understood him. Yes, he was brutally harsh, "lost his temper" doesn't even describe it, but remember - he's the guy who's had his family and all his loved ones just ripped away from him, over, and over, and over again. He never trusted her either, and on top of that, she kept pushing him. It was just bound to happen.

All I knew was - I know Kenny. He knows me. To him, I'm family - and to a degree, I'm his conscience, as well. He'd do anything to fiercely protect me and the baby, whereas she...? She's already lost her heart. Sure, she came back and all, but she's selfish, and doesn't care about anyone else but herself. She's cold, and if she sees a better chance without me, she's gone.

Also, she's just as much of an asshole as she wanted to proof Kenny to be - for setting things up like this. Kenny was right, she just could have said he's fine, she had plenty of time to abort her clearly out-of-hand plan. She didn't, though. And she risked actually killing the baby by doing so, because nobody knew where it was but her. Nothing but sheer luck had us find it afterwards.

It was a hard decision, and I loved it. I knew Kenny was about to kill her, but so was she.
In the end, as soon as Kenny begged them to at least take the children... oh, dem feels. Anything and everything this guy might ever have done to classify himself as an asshole, he more than redeemed himself for it right there. But, knowing I was all he had and all that still kept him going, I couldn't rob him of his new family. Either we go through this together, or we all die. His begging for us to leave him only proves that.

That's me, anyway. That's why I stuck with him, because without us, he probably wouldn't keep going for much longer.

That's a good explanation, but I suppose I had just had enough of Kenny by that point, and Jane seemed to have changed. Not only was Kenny a total jerk (and a dangerous one), but I disagree with you about the way he was with Clem. There were times where even with her he seemed to be losing it, and if I were her, I don't think I'd feel safe around him.

Too bad you pretty much have to choose him to get the more "complete" endings.
