I got the game a long time ago, and I've never installed the game until now.
I have verified the game files, but hitting the PLAY button on GOG Galaxy fails to yield results.
I get no errors, no notifications, no black screens.

See my system specs attached. Feel free to ask for more specific info if that would help.

Sometimes games don't launch because of the connected controller. Try unplugging it and see if that helped. If it didn't, you might also want to download Microsoft DirectInput - dinput8.dll file and extract it to the installation folder.
If you need any help with that or the above didn't solve your issue, submit a ticket to our Tech Support here :)

No game-pads were connected at the time. Mouse, keyboard, and microphone are the only input devices connected by default. I unplug unnecessary input devices as a rule.

I have found the issue.
I added an exception to Windows 10 Controlled Folder Access (anti-ransomware) using this method found Googling "how to allow apps through controlled folder access"
For some reason Windows10 did not list the game as a blocked executable like it did for every non-microsoft application I've run so far.
Note there are multiple executables in the game's directory. "WalkingDead100.exe" worked for me.
