The problems start during the setup (see the image) and continue with "Invalid Opcode" and "Out of Stack Range".
Launching the game I obtain the Unreal crash report.

NEXT DAY: Problem solved by installing on the second drive (HDD) with more space. Apparently the SDD was too small for some temporary files.

I had the same problem and same solution - free up disk space. There was enough space for the "installed game" but apparently not enough space to "install the game". They don't tell you that
