UterusMaximus: Do it!
And if you feel that you are not "good enough" try other weapons or methods in approaching the enemies.
Thats what i always have to do when i am stuck in some areas in these kind of games :D
MarkoH01: I stopped counting how often I died ;)
But maybe you could give me some hints? I searched the internet and unfortunately there's not much about the actual regular combat to be found. You have a vertical and a horizontal attack and you can evade using A ... but when I look at videos people are fighring without getting hit and it looks so flawless. I don't even know which attack I should use... horizontal? Vertical? I end up pressing both like crazy and evade ... even though it's hard to evade those fast enemys with the claws. Yes, I know I am bad and I was so glad when I finally managed to beat the first area. Any advide is appreciated and it might help me in my decision to buy the game again - at least the base game :)
The attacks with R1 are lighter and faster, the attacks with R2 are slower but do a little bit more damage.
Sometimes it helps to hit the enemy once and then back off and its important to observe the attack patterns...
i am not good in those games myself but those things help alot if i am in a death-loop :-D
And in my opinion - Stamina is VERY important. I watch alot of videos where people have a very long healthbar and can do one swing with the weapon and have to recover... but that is only my playstyle.
