This game is an absolute mess. And has been a known issue by the devs apparently since launch. It's a bug that went away and came back apparently. I'm this close to refunding this garbage. I waited to purchase this game in order to avoid problems like this, but every 5 minutes it's a crash fest. Please for the love of God, why hasn't this game been fixed yet and when do they plan on fixing this mess.

If you have a AMD card make sure to Turn Off HBCC Memory Segment. I found this to solve my issue. Who knew!

I'm encountering this CTD bug as well. Is there a fix for this?

yeah. this is silly. it looks like the "fix" for this in later 2024 is to roll back to an nvidia drivers from 4+ years ago...
that is uncool.
the surge was a nice play but that the surge 2 has this stupid vulkan forced on you and you have no clear way of just check a DX12 box is backwards.
i would buy it again if this is truly fixed.
