How to use a mouse with this game? Tried using F12 once game was running but had no affect. Any advice please...

It's working by default for me here on Windows 10. Try disabling fullscreen by pressing Alt-Enter, clicking inside the window to make sure the mouse pointer shows up, and then re-enabling fullscreen.
