I'm at the fight with the warden who has a stationary machine gun. I kill the warden and everyone else except this blonde prison guard. He's literally immortal, I kept blasting him with the stationary machine gun for good 2 minutes he won't die. I can't progress even if I open the cell door and run past him. I'm stuck, how do I get past this glitch?
Did you save the game after the cutscene with the warden? I remember this or something similar happening (might have been the warden that's been invincible) if you save after the cutscene, before getting rid of everyone and then loading that saved game.

If that's the case, I don't know the solution other than try to get through the fight without relying on quicksaves. If you already saved, then you'll have to restart from older saved game before the cutscene.

I just figured out how to correct that mistake. The steps are:

1.- Update The Suffering to the latest version.

2.- Delete the dsounds files from the folder where was instaled the game.

3.- Run the game from the folder where was instaled. Copy and paste "Launch The Suffering" into the desktop and execute as administrator.

PS: Before runing the game, another thing I did was: go to The Suffering.exe properties and select "Run this in compatibility mode for", choose your operating system, apply and run the game.
I don't know if it will be necessary, but I did it anyway.

Those steps fix the random crashes and the invincible blond cop bug, of abbott's prison blues in Hargrave's battle.

Hope it works for you !

Thanks for the reply! I did manage to by-pass this by just running away from the unkillable guard up the platform and into the exist. I just ignored him. It took me to the next level. I'm sure this solution could be helpful for anyone else that might read this.
