Contain the patches/fixes for the sound effects and various other issues? I remember a long time ago, a forum member linking us a page containing those, for manual application over the previously freeware version of the game (or the disc one)... Did GOG deliver a completely fixed game from the get-go?

Before buying it, i need to make certain.

They made it playable for modern systems but the old bugs/problems are not patched out. Though they are solvable.
Would be great if they provided a sophisticated guide for this.

If you don't use a refresh rate > 60 FPS + have directplay enabled + don't play TS2 before TS1, then you should've very few problems with this game. It runs very well on Win10 and I only had 1 crash within 3 hours.

Thank you. Then i will wait for the big Fall sales, since i already own both the disc retail version and the freeware one... While the game isn't fully fixed and at a somewhat inflated price.

Strange, though, i was under the impression that GOG would/could do a bit better than that (still, publishers dictate the price, that much i understand)...

I own both games on disc and the freeware too :)and this version from GOG runs stable and well on my PC.
The disc versions are very difficult to install now and the freeware was also not without problems.

IMO GOG did a good job with this release and the price is fair. I doubt that the price will drop more, but who knows?
