Eh, i know this game has yet to be released, but the core mechanics of this game is old.
As i said in the comment section of their youtube vid:

The core mechanics is much like "5089: The Action RPG" games, check them out. This game and the guy explaining all this, tries to pass off this as something spanking new, but it's NOT! http://store.steampowered.com/app/414510/ -- Eh, "The Signal From Tölva" might be a new game, but it's mechanics is not! -- They be old!

I don't think there's any hard claim by the developers that they are the ones who invented all of the mechanics in Tolva. Hell, you can claim they stole the posession mechanic from Dungeon Keeper 2. Ot the erie alien planet thick mood from Evolva https://www.gog.com/game/evolva Let's not get carried away.
