Has anyone finished the Europe Campaign? Are there no harbors? I have a large army and have taken out "red" and reduced "lavender" to the headquarters. I have little to no gold...."yellow" has that. I have scavaged every field many times over for resources.

I finished this.

Can't remember exactly, but there was just one area with gold in it. Somwhere in northern Italy. If you got there first, you practically won, it was just a matter of time before you advanced your troops and sweeped everyone off the map.

It was pretty easy for me reaching that spot first. Maybe you should try retake it from the yellow, or restart and rush there from the beginning.

Sorry can't offer you any more specific advice... I can answer your second question though: I don't recall using harbors/ships in that level.
Thanks for the info...yellow is still way ahead of me when I try. I'll will continue trying use the catapults and save and reload.

I can't believe it's been 2 yrs. since I came back to settlers 2....too many other good games played. Anyway...I finally got to the gold before yellow did. My question is do I have to kill all members of my opponents or just take out the HQ and/or warehouses?
Destroying HQ is enough. Not sure about warehouses, but you definitely don't have to kill everyone.

Slightly OT, we should start a thread of the best S2 carnage. I can't remember another game where so many of your opponents died at once leaving little skeletons. Next time I play I'm going to need to take some screen shots. Call me sick, but some of those images are beyond hilarious.
Thanks again guys......I have left 1 yellow completely surrounded (as a test) and I'm about to finish black up. This campaign is huge. Are the others this big? Another question....have you found that you can not push out the soldiers from a warehouse, but goods you can when there are open places in the other warehouses?
Europe is first and largest. You might find some other large ones, but you will find small ones as well (Japan, Greenland).

Can't remember having trouble with soldiers.
Thanks again. After I found out that I don't have to kill everything, the campaign has quicken. Greenland was 1 on 1.
I entered Africa and have 2 opponents. Before I destroy a far flung warehouse, I move the goods out usually they go to the closest warehouse. Not so with the soldiers. Then I destroy the warehouse, I lose more soldiers than I want. The surviving soldiers go to that closest warehouse.

At a couple of years late, there is some information to be shared here.
To "relocate" soldiers, you have to set the warehouse to not let them enter the warehouse, (the wooden X symbol) and while also having the "move goods out" option active. Other ways they just step out the door, and return back in.
I doubt alsal3 will have much use for the info at this time, but perhaps it will help someone else...
