Hi All,

A couple of questions:

1. Is there a soldier cap? I find myself with lots of iron and smelters / smithies etc doing thier thing, but no soldiers coming out of my storehouse which has 0 swords / 0 shields / 60 beer. Where are the swords / shields going?

2. When a geologist finds an ore he places a sign. This sign then disappears aftr a while. Is there a way to keep this sign up for the duration of the game?

3. I had an island off my HQ which i linked with a waterway, then put a flag on the island and sent my scout for a lookaround. Nothing happened despite there being no other scouting assignments and 4 scouts waiting in the HQ. Then the enemy came on said island and built a stronghold within a stone's throw from my HQ. Any idea why?

1) weapons, shields and beer have to go in the same storehouse, then new soldiers will be recruited. make sure you collect them in in only one storehouse by sending the weapons and beer out of all the other storehouses and harbors. edit: if you have them in the same storehouse, as soon as you have all 3 there a new soldier gets recruited, so then your weapons/shields should be 0 or 1 of either, and you just have plenty of beer left.

2) no, they just disappear after a while, no way as far as I know to keep them, but you can build a mine and not connect the roads until you need it.

3) personnel don't go over waterways, only goods, not scouts, builders, soldiers or any other guys. if you want guys on the next island you need ships and harbors.
