Are there any cheat codes. I'm stuck and no matter how many different ways I try I keep getting wiped out! I've looked online and found ones posted but they don't work on the gog downloaded one.

Which one did you find? Not the ones for 10th anniversary edition by any chance? These won't work on Gold

The only ones I know that worked for original Gold edition was typing WINTER or THUNDER and then
Alt+F7 - reveals whole map
Alt+F1 to Alt+F6 - changes speed.

Won't help you much to win the level.

Alternatively, there was a way to make all levels accessible, so that you can skip the one you don't like. Open the mission.dat file, and change all 0s to 1s. MAKE SURE YOU MAKE A BACKUP COPY FIRST.

The code is WINTER, the other is for the standard version.

You can also build ne headquaters on any space that supports a large building if the cheat is activated, so just put one right at the start of the game next to the gate.

Alternatively, if you just want to unlock all missions, go to the folder where you installed The Settlers 2, then to SAVE and open the file "MISSION.DAT" with a texteditor, and change all the 0s in the first line to 1s.
