This might have been asked before (couldn't find anything though), but does anyone know how the user music option for settlers 4 works?

I dropped a bunch of mp3 files into the snd/User folder (had to create one) like the game told me, but all it does is playing the first song from the list and then stop, never playing anything else.

Any help?

I like playing Settlers 4, with music in the background, so i may have found a solution to your problem.
i used a program called Wondersoft Ultimate Video Converter, grabbed 30 music files (mp3's), combined them into one file, and copied it to the snd/user directory, ran the game.
now i have a song running for 2 hours, using Settlers 4 to play it.
I am also having problems with user music. Only the first track is played and after that the music stops.

It seems that this is a bug of the GOG version. The German Readme of the New World Mission CD indicates that the game is supposed to play all files in the user folder, in random sequence:

Reihenfolge abgespielt."

Has anyone gotten the user music to work, beyond the initial track?
