Hey guys, i wanted to play S3 Gold edition online since i heard people still do!

But i cant seem to create a profile, all i get is "lobby server not found due to network problem"

I've removed the block on windows firewall, disabled the anti-virus/update and firewall completely..
still no luck..

any takers?

there was a note on the old gamecard i think, but after the making the gamecards smaller it has disappeared.

the official settlers 3 lobby servers were taken down years ago since the game is 15 years old now and its perfectly understandable that ubisoft is not interested anymore in maintaining official multiplayer servers.

you have to use hamachi with lan multiplayer or try the alternative lobby: http://lobby.siedler3.net/index.php?lan=en

its an unofficial settlers 3 multiplayer lobby program / tool coded in java by the settlers community.

However it asks for me to insert CD1 and i dont have any CD's since its downloaded from GOG.com??
What to do? Mount CD or?

hm im sure i used it without needing a cd or iso. ill try it out later myself.

Unfortunately, the GOG version is not compatible with CD version - so you'll not be able to play with people having the CD Version - and on the aLobby that's about 99% of them.

If you want to play online on the aLobby (where most people still plaing S3 gather), you'll need to buy the CD version. In Germany it's available for 6,99€.

I'd like to try playing it over hamachi with people. Anyone want to set up a game, next weekend?
