Hello guys,

I'm unable to run GOG version of S3 on Windows 7. I'm getting this weird graphical problem (attached) when the actual game is run in a tiny window in the upper left corner of the screen. I tried to play around with the S3 setup. The closest I got was when I switched to Dithered Shadows and turned off Wait for Vertical Blank option, but it's still unplayable.

Did anybody run into similar problem?

My specs:
windows 7 enterprise
i5-3570
16gb ddr3
asus gtx 960 on 368.22 drivers

Thank you,
qp

Run the game as administrator and disable Aero. Also try renaming or removing winmm.dll in the game's directory.

The fact that your loading screen/menu is orange (vanilla S3) instead of gold (S3 Gold) isn't a good sign either.
Since you have two graphic cards: you need to set the NVIDIA one for Settlers 3 in the NVIDIA settings.

Tried all of those, but without a change.

I've got my Intel graphics card disabled in BIOS. But still I tried to play around in Nvidia settings, but to no avail.
What resolution does your monitor have?

1920x1080 @ 50Hz

I tried to install the game on my Toshiba laptop and it worked out of the box without any configuration. I'm using 1600x900 on it. I'll try lowering the resolution to 720p when I get back to my PC.
