Hello. new to gog.com and just purchased The Settlers 3. the problem i have is that whenever i start a new map, whenever i move the cursor, half the screen freezes and the bottom of the screen moves like normal. has anyoneelse experienced this problem or know how to fix it?

I am having the same problem! Incredibly frustrating. Can anybody help to solve this problem?

Maybe try turning on or off hardware acceleration in the ingame options menu.
Don't know if that will help, just speculation.

S3 does not have any hardware acceleration options.

What is important here: what Windows version, graphic card and graphic card driver is in use? Similar problems are known for NVIDIA Optimus configurations. The workaround: uninstall S3 and install it again - but with Windows compatibility set to Win95 and with admin rights. Afterwards always start the game as admin with WinXP SP2 compatibility.

Forgot to mention: this helps with the original CD version. Not sure if with GOG too.

Ah right, mixed the menu it up with Settlers 4 somehow.
