Hi all

I'm have some problems with launching S3. When I try to start the game I get a error message that says directdraw unsuported. I've tried to run the game in compatibility mode, as administrator, disabling the intro, renaming the winmm.dill file and other fixes I've found, but nothing of that works. My os is windows 10. Any thoughts on what I can do? I loved this game as a kid and I would really appreciate any help or ideas.

What are your PC specs?

Processor: Intel(R)_Core(TM)_i5-5200U_CPU_@_2.20GHz
Ram: 8GB
Graphic: AMD Radeon R5 M33

Anything else? Drivers maybe? Know where to find them? Computers isn't exactly my strong suit :/

Oh, and it's a laptop if that matters.

Have you tried lowering your laptop's resolution to that of the game?

Assuming you're using the GOG version of the game:

First off, have you run SETUPS3.exe in order to preset some options for the game?

Secondly, are you trying to launch it using the GOG default shortcut? Because it's set up to launch "single.exe" supplied by the GOG team. If you are, try instead to launch S3.exe or S3_multi.exe.

Tried this, didn't work :/ Don't really know what to do. Been trying to get the game to work on and off for a couple of months now.

Oh, did you manage to update your graphics driver? You can find them on amd.com.
