Im really interested if it possible for gog to get the original german language pack for Settlers 2 since Settlers 2 were first released in german as Die Siedler 2: Veni, Vidi, Vici (By Bluebyte) and later as Settlers 2. I know I still have the cd with german language from that time. It doesn't start anymore for install but you can still copy the data on pc from the cd. Afterall it was my first real pc game after we switched from c64 to a first pc around 1996.

The English language version just isn't the same. I can go and upload the german game version from 2000 since I also bought Die Siedler 2 Gold Edition to somewhere gog can reach and get the needed files for german version off the game.

Can I ask a possibly geographically silly question, is German wildly spoken in Slovenia?

Well in the part of Slovenia I come from - North Eastern part (Prekmurje) almost every other person speaks German or at least understands it. Afterall the border to Austria is only about 20 or a bit more km away from any part of the area. And our local dialect has a lot of german words in it, of course also Hungarian and Croatian next to Slovene. Most people speak german, croatian and obviously english where as hungarian is not that popular for some reason (probably because its a different language group - the same as finns and basques (in spain).

Thank you.
Wish I spoke German; all the Settlers help pages are in it and 'Google Translate' is rough at best. :P
