Hi,

Could anyone give me information on expansions/addons/mission packs tha are available for Settlers 2 and the Anniversary edition? I know the original one has Mission CD, which is included in Gold Edition which I own, and that brings the World Campaign. Anniversary Edition has Vikings, not available in English, but could anyone tell me what exactly is included in the expansion? Just a new race (but doesn't it already include Vikings as a race?) A new campaign? Single player maps? Googling for it only reveals tips on how to get it working on the English version but I couldn't find any definitive information on what it contains.

Also, any other official or otherwise addons for these 2 games (with information on what they include)?

Hey,

The Addon for the Settlers Anniversary edition includes:

- a campaign with 12 missions
- you can play as viking (not included in the main game)
- you can play all races in singleplayer (Vikings, Romans, Asians, Nubians)
- a random generator for multiplayer maps
- a new quest system for the story missions

But it is only available as German, Czech, Polish and Russian version. There is no more addon for this game but there is a second remake of The Settlers II (but only in german language) which is called The Settlers: Rise of Cultures. The same gameplay as The Settlers II but with some changes (e.g. the races are diffrent now, new buildings and so on)

The Settlers Gold Edition includes all that is (official) available for The Settlers II (I heared the changed two story missions (because of the bad A.I. of ships) but I don't know if this is correct because I never had the non-Gold Edition of the Settlers II.)

I don't know if there are fan made maps or mods for these games.

OK, it seems the fan made map pack is already included in gold. Some of those maps unfortunately require big ships, which got disabled in Unlimited Play in Gold.

There are fan made maps you can find on fansites (for a lot of the Settlers games). But most of them are german websites. Found some links on the german website of ubisoft and with google.
