I bought Settler 4 - Gold Edition just a few minutes ago and cannot start the game.
It gives me this "Fatal Error 0xc0000005 at 0x77584d04"-Message. I can hear the menu-music, but the game itsself crashed.

I dont know what to do.

I enable Compatibility-mode (win95). Does anyone have a fix for me?

I had some helpful links for you to another discussion for DXGL but GOG system won't let me post it. Very sorry, hope someone more helpful than me can come here and post.

I don't think he's using Windows 95 (the GOG installers for one thing won't work on it; not sure about the original CDs), but compatibility mode of a Windows version he didn't mention (Windows 10?).

Either way, OP, here is a link to DXGL which might solve it. If not, try contacting contacting support as te_deum suggested above.

Wow thanks ;) It worked now. Applied also the widescreen-fix. Now the game works perfectly.
