horkrux: Just finished that one yesterday, you're Asian. It's actually quite easy if you take the right steps. So what I did:
1. Take over the settlement. You don't need your cannons, leave them where they are. Just keep your soldiers together.
2. You want to save two hammers for later, so you either turn only a small amount of pioneers into settlers at first or lower the amount of builders, your call.
3. Set up your lumber production with 2 saw mills, 4 lumberjacks and 2 foresters. You will never have to worry about wood throughout the mission with that. One stonemason.
4. Build two weapon smithies and as soon as they're finished, let your people have the rest of those hammers to become builders. More coal than ore mines and one (better two) iron smelting whatever building.
Throw in a medium residential when the amount of settlers dips below 50 or so. And discover the Gong production spot some time.
5. Farms suck and there's plenty of fish. Your mines eat fish so that's what they'll get. Fish is the key to keep this mission easy going. So build 3 fishing huts. That's what the insane amount of fishing rods is for). It will keep your mines fed.
7. Two storages full of swords will suffice, so build them. Swords or spears, whichever you prefer. I prefer swords. They die like flies, but you'll have so many of them and they hack those Amazons to pieces. One barrack (better two for faster recruiting).
8. Now while my swords slowly but steadily piled up, I've set up one line of Mana production. That was stupid and completely unnecessary in my case. Build two big temples instead to level up your swords once, which is more than enough. That nearest patch of swamp is so damn small, it will only support two rice farms. That would make two Mana production lines, still not enough. If you go a little bit further west there is another swamp. Might wanna set up some more farms there, but at some point your smithies will miss that coal. So you can either have a bigger amount of soldiers or go for Level 3. It doesn't matter.
9. At minute 50 you might want to start recruiting. I had about 80 swords at that point. That's overkill already. Couldn't get beyond Level 2, but like I said, doesn't matter. Now bring them to the enemy border and send them straight over to those Gong factories. That's the important part: Don't fiddle with what's on your way, just keep Ctrl pressed and send them to your goal. Some will die, most will make it. There is 5 (6) big towers full of soldiers waiting for you there, but you have more than enough to deal with that.
Guaranteed Win.
I'll give it a shot. :D I think. All my saves are gone...I think.
