I'm kind of stuck on level 4 of roman campaign (the high seas).
Initially I did well, promoted all my soldiers to generals and whatnot, but then I got stuck with resources:
I found the island to the south which has rich iron deposits. However, even though iron gets dug out, it remains in the port on that island and doesn't get sent to "mainland" (HQ) in any normal quantities. Piece by piece is all I get and thus I can't train any more soldiers. The red guy keeps taking back the land I previously easily conquered from him.

Anyway, the same happens if I put a smelter on the "iron island". In this case no coal gets sent from HQ.
There are some 15 ships sailing around, mostly totally empty. I have seen a ship carry 30-ish resources in one go, but in this case I just can't seem to make them work for me.

So I have 2 storehouses, one full of iron, the other full of coal, but I don't know how to get both ores to one storehouse.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jure

Edit:
NWM: Fixed the problem by placing all the facilities / works on one single island and then barring a bit of delay, everything worked as I wanted.

I've come across the exact same problem - very frustrating. I did notice a ship came along and took 40 ore out, back to the mainland, but the remaining 60 sat in the harbour, never to be used. Definitely smells like a bug :-)
I've had a problem with several resources on that map, but barring the warehouse from storing the resource and taking it out of the warehouse usually solved the problem as far as I can remember.
