Given the fact that the Settler games originally were released in Germany (by a German company nonetheless), I'm wondering why there is no option to download the original (i.e. German) version from GOG. This is a cult franchise here in GER, it would be a shame if GOG locked themselves out from the profits generated by what could be defined as THE target audience for these games.

Yeah. I have no problem at all with English. But German is the original language and seeing getting support for games like Realms of Arkania, why not Die Siedler? Original languages should almost always be prefered in art.

theres no official german version of the settlers games on gog, so you either buy a cd copy at amazon.de or try one of the patches i've uploaded for settlers 3, 4 and 5 in the forum, just do a search. there should be one for both settlers 2 too.

hmm, i guess i could start a new thread with all patches linked so its easier to find. I'll think about it.
