Pretty straight forward question. I can't seem to find how to promote my troops in Settlers IV. I can only make level 1 troops.

OK, it seems in Settlers 4, just like in 3, you need to produce alcohol, and bring it to small temples.

The only way to promote soldiers in Settlers IV is with a mayan spell, I'm afraid. :(

But you can recuit soldiers at any level you want! You only have to select the option at the barracks. Also note that the higher the level, the higher the gold you'll need to recruit them!

Level 1-> 0 Gold
Level 2-> 1 Gold
Level 3-> 2 Gold
General-> 3 Gold
