I'm really happy to have, finally, my favourite game back which didn't run under Win7-64bit !!
One little thing remains boring : each time I open it through the gog exe file, it needs to wait for the whole intro video to run and finish. When clicking on S2.exe , it -of course- says not compatible... So it seems I have to go through the DOSBOX of GOG - or is there another to way to get i started without this intro ?
Thanks anyone!

This is about Settlers 2 Gold, right ? Why don't you press Escape to skip the intro ?
If you really want to get rid of it permanently, just go to your game folder and in the VIDEO subfolder rename the file INTRO.SMK to something else like INTRO.SMK.BAK
If you want to restore the intro later on, just rename the file back to INTRO.SMK

Namur: How stupid of me ! I was so afraid to lose the game again under Win7 that I didn't dare hitting any key or changing any file before the game itself started!! Lots of thanks !
