I was building ships fine up until the dragon head level now it wont build them in that map or free play.

My chain is working fine I have a harbour and a shipyard but when i switch from raft to ship the building goes to sleep.

I herd there was a bug if you upgrade or build bigger than barracks so I used the smallest ones, didnt help.

I have experimented with different amounts of empty space round them and how much of my blue ring is in the surrounding sea, didnt help either.

so... any help?

are you sure the shipyard is receiving enough timber? it needs multiple boards to build ships.

unfortunately its nothing as simple as that, my shipyard is showing 6/6 but is still idle .I can build rafts so I know the shipyard has tools and wood,

Where did you build the shipyard? Is it close to the ocean?

No idea if this is a potential problem or if it's even possible on this particular level, but I'm thinking that if you build it next to a lake, it may not work?

I played this mission the other day and build a shipyard right next to the harbour. It only had room for a guardhouse, harbour and the shipyard. That worked fine, and I could settle the other spots.

are we talking s2-10th here?
I'm kind of in doubt by the following remark ts made: " my blue ring is in the surrounding sea"

and in s2-10th there is no blue ring...

I mean the circle of influence thats marked with blue dots yes its 10th ani. version. ive tried again on free play and its working but still not on the plateau of thr dragon level. its the 1st harbour site you come to on the 1st doward curve of the dragon

Ah ok, I got confused there, I'm sorry.

Are you trying this from the same saved game or does it happen over and over when you try that level? I do remember having an issue with an auto-saved game once, and having to start a level over.

ok went back there playing at highspeed :D just to check it out...

it worked...

also you can build a shipyard in your hq area and ships will go up your harbor.
